Vanadium
is needed for cellular metabolism and in the formaton of bones and
teeth. It plays a role in growth and reproduction, and inhibits
cholesterol synthesis. A vanadium deficiency may be linked to
cardiovascular and kedney disease, impaired reproductive ability,
and increased infant mortality. Vanadium is not easily absorbed.
Food sources: Fish Supplementation: Can be found in a good
multivitamin/mineral preparation in chelated form. Also found in
some colloidal mineral preparations. Can easily be toxic if taken
in synthetic form. This is not one of the minerals that needs to
be supplemented. A good fish dinner will supply you with the
vanadium you need.
